Participants are introduced to the fundamental knowledge needed to approach a digital design-to-production workflow and are exposed to a creative and research-driven use of technology. By addressing the basic concepts of Computational Design and Fabrication, the course will shed light over different production techniques and their manifold cross-disciplinary use cases. Computational production methods will be explained and referenced to projects in the fields of art, design and architecture. Students will be exposed to initial theoretical lectures to gain a broad overview of the mentioned topics, and will be actively engaged in design and prototyping exercises.
